Vacancy available: we are hiring a foundry operative in Burke County, North Dakota. The job is in a non-ferrous casting shop. The role involves: • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity Ideal candidate: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor Rotating shifts.
