What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work Day-to-day duties: • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure 5+ years on the tools preferred.
