Steel fixing chargehand — Monona County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Monona County, Iowa. On the job you will handle: • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour Ideal candidate: • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
