On the job you will handle: • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring Ideal candidate: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
