Gas commissioning technician — Orangeburg County

Join our team: we are hiring a gas commissioning technician in Orangeburg County, South Carolina. The job is at a heating and plumbing contractor. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of gas safety regulations and pressure testing • Valid gas fitter's licence and Gas Safe (or local) registration Your main tasks: • Carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply • Thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant • Install flue and chimney terminals and check for adequate ventilation • Braze copper gas lines and weld carbon-steel pipe joints • Set and adjust regulator outlet pressure with a gauge • Complete gas safety certificates and label the finished installation Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
