We are recruiting: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in Orange County, North Carolina. You should have: • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces On a typical shift you will stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action; carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift; update the risk register and method statements (RAMS); run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points; check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements; enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment. 4+ years on the tools preferred.
