Great opportunity: we are hiring a CO2 welder in Winneshiek County, Iowa. You will work at a pipe and tank fabrication yard. You should have: • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently The role involves clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead; weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions; maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose; tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc. Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
