Vacancy available: we are hiring a confectioner in Chilton County, Alabama. Ideal candidate: • Able to stand for long hours in a hot kitchen • Understanding of food-safety and HACCP basics • Knowledge of dough fermentation and proving Day to day you will shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand; roll out short-crust and biscuit dough; laminate puff and croissant dough by folding in the butter; proof and fry doughnuts, then glaze them; grease and clean baking trays, tins and moulds; prove dough in the proofer at the right temperature and humidity. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
