Immediate opening: we are hiring an uPVC window fabricator in Suffolk County, New York. You will work at a glazing and fabrication factory. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years' experience fabricating uPVC windows and doors • An eye for finish — no scratches, clean welds, flush beads • Knowledge of common hardware systems such as espagnolette and friction hinges Day-to-day duties: • Glaze the double-glazed units, set the packers and bed the glass square • Cut and weld mullions and transoms into the frame • Cut uPVC profiles to size on a double-mitre saw at 45 degrees • Install finished windows and doors, pack and anchor-fix them, then foam and silicone the perimeter • Clean welded corners on a corner-cleaning machine and chisel off the weld flash At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
