Immediate opening: we are hiring a steam press operator in Hertfordshire, England. You will be based in a busy laundry. On a typical shift you will sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing; press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching. What we are looking for: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment Rotating shifts.
