Banksman wanted in Bleckley County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a banksman in Bleckley County, Georgia. You will be based in a steel fabrication yard. Requirements: • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket Your main tasks: • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
