Ideal candidate: • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination Day to day you will TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel.
