Vacancy available: we are hiring a fettler in Fulton County, Arkansas. Ideal candidate: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Basic grinding and fettling skills Day-to-day duties: • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring Full-time with occasional weekends.
