Grill cook wanted in City of Edinburgh

Great opportunity: we are hiring a grill cook in City of Edinburgh, Scotland. You will be based in a catering banquet kitchen. Day to day you will knead dough and bake breads such as roti, naan and paratha; cook dishes to order on the grill, fry and sauté stations; manage the tandoor and skewer kebabs; follow cleaning schedules and wash down work surfaces; monitor food temperatures and run regular HACCP checks; prepare stocks, sauces and soups from scratch. Ideal candidate: • Food hygiene / FoSTaC certificate • Sound knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards • Able to lift heavy stock pots and sacks of supplies £2,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
