Join our team: we are hiring a reinforcement steel fixer in Calhoun County, Alabama. You should have: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire The role involves: • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift Part-time with flexible hours.
