The role involves: • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size You should have: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard Full-time with occasional weekends.
