Mason's helper — Clinton County

Now hiring: we are hiring a mason's helper in Clinton County, Iowa. The role involves: • Clear debris and sweep the slab before the next pour • Carry bricks, cement bags and sand up to the masons on site • Stack and store materials safely to avoid wastage • Mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer • Dig foundation trenches and pits with pick and shovel • Pour and spread concrete, then compact it with a poker vibrator You should have: • Wear safety helmet, boots and gloves at all times • Know how to mix concrete and mortar to the right ratio • Able to follow the mason's and supervisor's instructions Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
