Join our team: ladle pourer (Louisiana)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Caddo Parish, Louisiana. You will work on the moulding line. The role involves melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together. What we are looking for: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
