Ceiling and wall plasterer • Chemung County, New York

Great opportunity: we are hiring a ceiling and wall plasterer in Chemung County, New York. You will be based in an occupied house during renovation. Requirements: • Proven experience hand-skimming and floating to a flat finish • Physically fit for lifting bags of plaster and mixing all day • Good head for heights for ceiling and stairwell work Your main tasks: • Apply tanking and renovating plaster to damp walls • Tape and joint plasterboard seams with scrim and filler • Dot-and-dab plasterboard to walls and ceilings • Check walls for plumb and level as you go • Clean trowels, buckets and mixers before the plaster sets • Set up trestles and scaffold boards for ceiling work $26 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
