Gas pipe fitter — Hancock County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a gas pipe fitter in Hancock County, Kentucky. You will be based at a boiler and appliance service centre. Ideal candidate: • Able to read isometric and site drawings • Competent in pipe threading, brazing and PE electrofusion • 2+ years' experience on domestic and commercial gas installations The role involves: • Check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray • Locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections • Test combustion and flue gases with a flue gas analyser • Purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate • Read isometric drawings and mark out the pipe routes • Install flue and chimney terminals and check for adequate ventilation 5+ years on the tools preferred.
