Join our team: we are hiring a hand presser in Portage County, Wisconsin. The job is in a tailoring workshop. You will shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number; use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics. What we are looking for: • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings $140 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
