Now hiring: we are hiring a formwork joiner in Greene County, Virginia. The job is on a bridge and flyover project. Ideal candidate: • Skilled with circular saw, hand tools and spirit level • Sound understanding of props, bracing and load-bearing • Knows de-shuttering times and concrete curing Your main tasks: • Strike and strip the formwork once the concrete has cured • Read formwork drawings and setting-out marks to position the shutters • Box out openings for doors, windows and service penetrations • Fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
