Now hiring: 360 excavator operator (California)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a 360 excavator operator in Santa Cruz County, California. You will be based on a pipeline and trenching crew. On a typical shift you will load spoil into tippers and dumpers cleanly without spillage; work to laser, GPS or 2D/3D machine-control guidance; inspect tracks, bucket teeth and pins for wear before start-up; excavate trenches for water, sewer and cable runs; track the machine on and off low-loaders for transport; lift and place pipes, manholes and precast sections with the bucket and chains. What we are looking for: • Reliable, punctual and able to get to site • Comfortable with GPS or laser machine control • Able to read drawings, setting-out pegs and level pegs Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
