Now hiring: we are hiring a fusing press operator in City and Borough of Leeds, England. On the job you will handle: • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing • Give each garment a final press before packing You should have: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
