Now hiring: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Tyrrell County, North Carolina. The job is in a pharmaceutical piping facility. Day to day you will clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp. Ideal candidate: • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances Six days a week, one day off.
