Join our team: we are hiring a halal butcher in Cumberland County, Maine. The job is at a busy retail butcher's shop. Day-to-day duties: • Season and marinate meat on request • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking • Debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife • Vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain You should have: • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
