Brick and block layer • Emmet County, Michigan

Immediate opening: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Emmet County, Michigan. You will work at a renovation and extension job. The role involves: • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters What we are looking for: • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day 5+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Pay around $2,700 per month, based on your experience. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
