Single needle operator wanted in Los Angeles County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a single needle operator in Los Angeles County, California. You will be based on a ready-made garment production line. The role involves trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes. Ideal candidate: • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
