Safety officer • LaGrange County, Indiana

Great opportunity: we are hiring a safety officer in LaGrange County, Indiana. Day-to-day duties: • Investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports • Audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry • Run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points • Ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry You should have: • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
