Immediate opening: we are hiring an oven operator in Petersburg Borough, Alaska. On the job you will handle: • Pipe and fill cakes, pastries and cream rolls • Prove dough in the proofer at the right temperature and humidity • Keep work surfaces and equipment clean to food-safety standards • Decorate cakes with icing, fondant and fresh cream • Shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand • Proof and fry doughnuts, then glaze them Ideal candidate: • Accurate at weighing and following recipes • Understanding of food-safety and HACCP basics • Familiar with deck, rack and convection ovens Full-time with occasional weekends.
