Immediate opening: we are hiring a concrete worker in Greene County, Virginia. You will work at a precast concrete yard. You should have: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long hours on your feet • Hands-on with poker vibrators, power floats and concrete mixers You will carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab; cut control and expansion joints at the correct spacing; cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days; screed and level slabs to the marked dead level and falls; compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing; set out levels with a spirit level, line and pins. Pay around $3,200 per month, based on your experience. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Rotating shifts. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
