Urgent requirement: we are hiring a hand presser in Des Moines County, Iowa. The job is at a textile finishing unit. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine On a typical shift you will give each garment a final press before packing; press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; meet the daily piece target without damaging garments; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments. 4+ years on the tools preferred.
