Now hiring: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Kwaya Kusar, Borno State. The job is on a commercial tower construction site. The role involves: • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors Requirements: • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
