Great opportunity: we are hiring an abattoir worker in Johnson County, Tennessee. The job is at a busy retail butcher's shop. On the job you will handle: • Vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder • Keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone Requirements: • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • 2+ years experience working as a butcher Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
