Building site helper wanted in Waldo County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a building site helper in Waldo County, Maine. You will be based on a road and bridge project. You should have: • Punctual and ready to do overtime when a pour demands it • Prior experience as a labourer on building or civil sites • Basic knowledge of hand tools like shovel, trowel and breaker The role involves: • Set out levels with line and plumb under the mason's direction • Stack and store materials safely to avoid wastage • Mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer • Break out old walls and concrete with a jackhammer breaker • Bend and tie rebar with binding wire for slabs and columns • Dig foundation trenches and pits with pick and shovel At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. $3,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
