Gtaw welder — Charlevoix County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Charlevoix County, Michigan. You will be based in a pharmaceutical piping facility. You will select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions. Requirements: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Own basic hand tools and PPE We offer $5,100 per month plus benefits.
