Join our team: we are hiring a TIG welder in Lee County, Alabama. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage Day-to-day duties: • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
