Now hiring: we are hiring a roofing technician in Yancey County, North Carolina. Day-to-day duties: • Strip old shingles and felt back down to the deck • Bed and point ridge tiles with mortar • Lay underlayment and tar paper before tiling • Nail down asphalt shingles in staggered courses • Fix clay and concrete tiles onto the battens • Insulate and ventilate the roof void Requirements: • Own hand tools (hammer, nail gun, slate ripper) • 2+ years' hands-on roofing experience Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. $3,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
