Fettler wanted in Cass County

Now hiring: we are hiring a fettler in Cass County, Texas. You will work at a busy iron foundry. The role involves skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles. What we are looking for: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. $5,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
