Natural gas fitter — Grant County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a natural gas fitter in Grant County, Nebraska. You will work at a heating and plumbing contractor. Ideal candidate: • Clean, methodical and safety-conscious • Valid gas fitter's licence and Gas Safe (or local) registration • 2+ years' experience on domestic and commercial gas installations The role involves install gas meters, regulators and isolation valves; braze copper gas lines and weld carbon-steel pipe joints; read isometric drawings and mark out the pipe routes; lay and route steel and copper gas pipe runs to the appliance points; carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply; purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate. 6+ years on the tools preferred.
