Now hiring: concrete placer (Texas)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a concrete placer in Delta County, Texas. You will be based on a road and bridge project. On a typical shift you will erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour; load, hoist and barrow concrete to the upper floors; carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab; strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength; cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days; compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years on RCC and concreting works • Hands-on with poker vibrators, power floats and concrete mixers On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Part-time with flexible hours.
