Immediate opening: rigger (North Carolina)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a rigger in Sampson County, North Carolina. You will be based in a steel fabrication yard. Requirements: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams The role involves: • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists 6+ years on the tools preferred.
