Now hiring: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Scott County, Arkansas. Ideal candidate: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection Day-to-day duties: • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. $4,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
