Now hiring: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Winneshiek County, Iowa. You will be based at a high-rise construction project. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing Day-to-day duties: • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman 4+ years on the tools preferred. $3,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
