Great opportunity: punch press operator (Alabama)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a punch press operator in Jackson County, Alabama. You will be based in a forging and pressing unit. You will check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges; fit and check guards, light curtains and safety interlocks before starting; adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings; run the press using two-hand controls and foot pedal safely; operate mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic power presses; apply die lubricant and keep the tooling clean. What we are looking for: • Attention to detail and steady hands for accurate loading • Can use vernier calipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges Six days a week, one day off.
