Gas metal arc welder — Edmonson County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Edmonson County, Kentucky. Day-to-day duties: • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints What we are looking for: • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift. Performance bonus on top of base pay. We offer $240 per day plus benefits. Contact us to fix an interview.
