We are recruiting: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Pottawatomie County, Kansas. You will be based in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. Ideal candidate: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety The role involves: • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise 5+ years on the tools preferred.
