On a typical shift you will top up coolant, lubricant and hydraulic oil levels; report breakdowns to the maintenance fitter; follow lockout-tagout before cleaning or clearing the machine; key in cycle parameters such as speed, feed rate and temperature. Ideal candidate: • Able to read job cards and basic engineering drawings • Able to stand for long hours on the shop floor • Knowledge of lockout-tagout and machine safety Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
