Now hiring: we are hiring a sample machinist in Marquette County, Michigan. What we are looking for: • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus On the job you will handle: • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go Pay around $3,200 per month, based on your experience. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
