Immediate opening: crane operator (West Virginia)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a crane operator in Ohio County, West Virginia. You will be based at a shipbuilding yard. You should have: • Understanding of hand and radio signals • Proven experience on mobile, tower or overhead cranes • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) Your main tasks: • Fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports • Read and interpret the load chart before every lift • Keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL) • Carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block • Hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control • Help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone We offer $4,400 per month plus benefits. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
